This weekend, The Diamond Works gave back to the community as the headline sponsor for the T.I.C.E (Travel Industry Charity Events) gala dinner held at the Cape Town International Convention Center on Saturday 11 October.
The event was held in aid of Molo Songololo. Molo Songololo is a registered child rights organisation that was formed in 1979. The organisation makes significant contributions to the realization of the rights, protection and participation of children in South Africa.
Everyone from within the tourism industry showed up covered in denim and diamonds – the theme for the evening, and how better to start such an evening than a diamond give away sponsored by The Diamond Works. This was followed by the angelic voices of Viva The Voices and a wonderfully prepared menu, topped off by the Cape Town Orchestra.
The focal point of the evening was the Auction which was used to raise funds for Molo Songololo. The items on auction ranged from an all expenses paid stay at The lost City in Sun City compliments of Sun International, to a complete wardrobe makeover by Cigar clothing. The headline item was a Gucci ladies watch in 18 carat white gold with a white diamond and mother of pearl face, sponsored by The Diamond Works.
