Yacoob Yachts has been established since 1995, a year after South Africa’s first democratic election. The company initially known as Nonkululeko Charters, meaning “Freedom Charters”; the first and only charter business owned by people of colour within the heart of V&A Waterfront.
At the start of Yacoob Yachts, it was a much smaller company comprising of a small cruise ship called the Sea Shuttle 1. After 18 years of growth the company has grown its fleet to 6 vessels which are still operating today.
